On Saturday, May 8th, the Topsfield Police Department will be closing certain roads near and surrounding the Town Common to ensure the safety of residents attending the Annual Town Meeting at 10:00 AM. The roads affected are as follows:

• Howlett Street – From the Route 1 Bridge to East Common Street.

• Main Street – Between High St./High St. Ext. to Washington Street. Cars traveling north or south on Rt. 97 will be detoured onto Washington Street and High Street Ext, around the Congregational Church.

• North Common Street – The whole length of the street from East Common St. & Howlett to Main Street.

• East Common Street – The whole length of the street from High Street to Howlett St.

These roads will be closed to all traffic at 9:00 AM, one hour before the meeting begins, and will remain closed until approximately one hour after the meeting ends.  Residents planning to attend the meeting should plan accordingly and arrive early.
